According to a 1999 study by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences (NACCAS) , a private firm in the United States, "approximately 3 out of every 4 salon owners who looked for new employees in 1998 reported difficulty in finding qualified personnel." The report went on to say that "Employment prospects are good for those interested in re-entering the field and for recent cosmetology program graduates."
